Norma has been involved in dance and fitness for most of her life. Born and raised in England, she attended Arts Educational School in London, focusing on ballet and jazz. She worked as a professional dancer for seven years in various locations, including London's West End.

Prior to moving to Los Gatos in 2001, Norma spent seven years working in the fitness industry. Her first experience with Pilates was during rehabilitation for a back injury. Further exploration led to a deeper appreciation for Pilates and inspired her to become a certified instructor through the Polestar Education Program.
